Description	:	Bob Ratcliff, 83, of Eldon, Missouri passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. He was born October 3, 1932 in Versailles, Missouri the son of the late Dean Charles and Mildred (Williams) Ratcliff. On July 16, 1960 in Versailles, Missouri he was united in marriage to Martha Ruth (Steele) Ratcliff who survives of the home. He was a 1949 graduate of Versailles High School where he was a member of the FFA and in 1946 he showed reserve champion, Blue Ribbon, livestock at the American Royal in Kansas City, MO. He was born October 3, 1932 in Versailles, Missouri the son of the late Dean Charles and Mildred (Williams) Ratcliff. On July 16, 1960 in Versailles, Missouri he was united in marriage to Martha Ruth (Steele) Ratcliff who survives of the home. He was a 1949 graduate of Versailles High School where he was a member of the FFA and in 1946 he showed reserve champion, Blue Ribbon, livestock at the American Royal in Kansas City, MO. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning he attended the University of Missouri earning his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture in 1959. He was employed with the Federal Land Bank and was a real estate agent. He was also a farmer. Bob was a member of the Eldon United Methodist Church of Eldon, MO. Other survivors: Children, Ellen Smith & husband Jay of Springfield, MO; Dean Ratcliff & wife Ellen of Fair Grove, MO; Denise Schieszer & husband Doug of Lee’s Summit, MO. Grandchildren, Patrick Smith, Daniel Smith, Arthur Schieszer, Adam Schieszer & Margaret Schieszer. Sister, Nadean Edwards of Prairie Village, KS. Several Nieces & Nephews. He is preceded in death by one aunt who helped raise him, Ella Ratcliff, and one brother, Frank Ratcliff. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 PM with Rev. Steve George officiating. Interment will follow at Versailles Cemetery in Versailles, MO. Memorials in his name are suggested to the National Parkinson’s Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO
