Description	:	Bobby Lee Strait, 46, of Bloomfield, Route 9, died Wednesday at University Hospital in Iowa City of injuries received last Saturday in a tractor accident near the Henry County farm of his father-in-law. Strait was hurt when the tractor he was driving at the Edgar Hartley farm near Salem backfired and caught fire. He jumped from the vehicle, but was caught by the mower and dragged about 75 feet. He was born June 12, 1931 in Van Buren County, to Lee and Lenna Bingaman Strait. He married Barbara Hartley on December 26, 1950. He had lived in Davis County the past 18 years and was employed at the John Deere Ottumwa Works. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Salem Congregational Church and Reed-Whisler American Legion Post at Bloomfield. Survivors include his wife; his mother, Lenna Strait; sons Michael of Salem, Richard and Curtis; a daughter, Teresa; sisters Iris Lyon and Enid Baity, and a grandson.
