Bobby volunteered with Mathews Volunteer Fire Department for 19 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alma Smith Callis; and a niece, Marsha Ann Smith. He is survived by his wife, Patricia G. Smith; his sons, Robert Smith of Newport News, Lee Smith and wife, Nancy of Bohannon; his daughter, Beth and husband, Harry Rivera, of Bohannon; a brother, Charlie H. Smith and wife, Sylvia, of Mathews; his step grandchildren, Elaine and John Bahr, Michelle and Brad Edwards, granchildren; Lisa and Brian Smith and Kristen and Leigh Ann Rivera; his step great-grandchildren, Molly and Mac Bahr; and his two nephews and one niece. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 4, in the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home Chapel, Mathews, with burial to follow in Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, June 3, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in his honor to the Mathews Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
