Description	:	On July 8, 1929, a ray of sunshine joined the family of Mack and Violet (Reed) Mason in Absarokee. Her name was Bonnie Carol and she was welcomed by her older sisters Marian, Helen and Maxine and a brother Donald. Later, two more girls, Doris and Elsie, were added to this adventurous group. Her name was Bonnie Carol and she was welcomed by her older sisters Marian, Helen and Maxine and a brother Donald. Later, two more girls, Doris and Elsie, were added to this adventurous group. Bonnie attended schools in and near Columbus and Absarokee and one year in Townsend. A neighbor boy, Gaylord Brunckhorst, could not resist Bonnie's charms and they eloped to Big Timber on Dec. 31, 1943. In 1948 they bought a small farm south of Columbus and farmed it until the city bought part and sister Marian bought the rest where the golf course sits. They moved to a larger farm north of Greycliff, Mont., along with their children, Robert, Dennis and Christy. In addition to being a farm wife, Bonnie was a popular waitress at the Four Winds on Highway 10. In the late '70s, Bonnie and Gaylord divorced and she moved to Livingston, where she worked on a mail route for the USPS driving up the Shields River Valley daily. It was on one of those missions that an accident on icy roads may have triggered the multiple sclerosis that debilitated her for the next 31 years. During the first 15 years, she was married to her helpmate, Truman DuMolt. They began spending the winters in Emerald Cove, Ariz., until Truman passed away in 1998. She continued with help to stay the winters in Emerald Cove and the summers with her daughter Christy's family at Cut Bank and then at Butte before choosing to be a permanent resident of the Beartooth Manor in Columbus where she had many friends. On April 17, 2012 she passed away at the Manor with family by her side. Services are slated for Friday, April 20, at Community Congregational Church in Columbus at 2 p.m., with Pastor John Sellers officiating. Internment will follow at the Rosebud Cemetery in Absarokee following a reception at the Church. Bonnie is survived by her sons Robert (Jean) of Yuma, Ariz., and Dennis (Jean) of Glasgow, Mont.; her daughter, Christine Ouellette of Cut Bank; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by three sisters, Maxine (Loyd) Sibbit, Doris (Bill) Chinery and Elsie Wurgler; her brother Donald; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her pinochle partner and puzzle solver at the Manor, Wilson Jones, who helped make her life more bearable; her husband, Truman DuMolt, who extended Bonnie's horizons and social life in both Montana and Arizona, for which the family is eternally grateful; and one granddaughter. The family would like to also thank the wonderful activities staff under Betty Ames and the nurses, LPNs and aides who delivered so much TLC at the Manor during the last years of her difficult journey.
