Description	:	Bonnie Delois Logan Patterson, 73, widow of Richard Wendell Patterson, of Raphine, died Monday, July 24, 2006 in her home. She was born July 10, 1933, in Staunton, a daughter of the late Earl Lyle and Carrie Bell (Grimm) Logan. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Patterson was employed as a teacher's aide by the Augusta County Schools where she enjoyed working with children. She was also a telephone operator employed by C & P Telephone Company in Richmond and Staunton. A member of Mt. Read More	Bonnie Delois Logan Patterson, 73, widow of Richard Wendell Patterson, of Raphine, died Monday, July 24, 2006 in her home. She was born July 10, 1933, in Staunton, a daughter of the late Earl Lyle and Carrie Bell (Grimm) Logan. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Patterson was employed as a teacher's aide by the Augusta County Schools where she enjoyed working with children. She was also a telephone operator employed by C & P Telephone Company in Richmond and Staunton. A member of Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church, Bonnie was an avid gardener who also took pleasure in quilting and knitting. She was preceded in death on January 3, 1991 by her husband, Richard, to whom she was married February 11, 1956. Two brothers, Oswald G. Logan and Clarence P. Logan, also preceded her in death. Family members include two daughters and a son-in-law, Jennifer Gail and Chris E. Sheets of Roanoke and Cynthia Logan Patterson of Botetourt; two brothers, Earl M. Logan and John W. Logan, both of Staunton; eight sisters, Marie L. Buchanan of Richmond, Ferraba L. Whitesell of Waynesboro, Juanita L. Hill of Roanoke, Peggy L. Arehart of Richmond, Ruth L. Spitzer of Williamsburg, Alice L. Cooper of Landeberg, Pa., Betty Sue Layton of Martinsville, and Dorothy L. Richie of Raphine; a faithful friend, Gene Whitesell of Staunton; and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2006 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Robert Lam, Kendall Grubb, Andy Smiley, Ruffner Patterson, David Smith, Jimmy Ramsey, Louis Ramsey, and Mark Hunt. The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2006 in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Rockbridge Hospice, P. O. Box 948, Lexington, Va. 24450.
