Bonnie married (1) Walter Fletcher Harrelson, and (2) Carl Oliver Smithey, Jr. CONWAY - Mrs. Bonnie Lewis Harrelson, 83, widow of Walter Fletcher Harrelson passed away surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Conway on the morning of Sunday, February 14, 2021 after an extended illness. Bonnie was born July 10, 1937 in Marion County, a daughter to the late Jeff Lewis and the late Arroveive Owens Lewis. Bonnie was a retired cook, famous for her fried chicken, and had served many plates of her food at Sugar Bear’s in Green Sea throughout the years. Bonnie loved cooking, baking, and spending time with her loving family. Surviving Mrs. Harrelson are a son, Steve (Rhonda) Harrelson of Conway; a sister, Sara Margaret (Billy) Causey of Nichols; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter. Bonnie was predeceased by four children, Donald Harrelson, Kimberly H. Elliott, Dale Harrelson and James Carl Smithey; two sisters, Flora Ruth Fairbanks and Beth Lewis; and a brother, Hugh Lewis. A graveside service for Mrs. Harrelson will be held Tuesday, February 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. Tyler Caines, Rev. Andy Bell, and Rev. Matthew Tyler officiating, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. The funeral home asks that masks please be worn if at all possible, and the proper social distancing be followed while at the cemetery and around the family for everyone’s safety.
