She was the infant child of Peter H. and Orpha Fern Borky, the grand daughter of Frank Baker of this vicinity, and the great grand daughter of W.A. Baker of this city. Bonnie LaRue was born February 21, 1921, at Alliance and passed from this life Thursday, July 9, 1925, aged 4 years, 4 months, and 18 days, after an illness lasting seven days. The fangs of the disease has fastened themselves upon her from the first and her death came as the inevitable, but not until her parents and loving hands had done all in the power to save her sweet child life. Little Bonnie loved her Sunday school and spoke of it much before her death in her childish delight to be in the service. But now she is beyond the need of any school that earth can offer. She is not dead, the child of our affection, But gone into that school Where she no longer needs our poor protection, But Christ himself doth rule. - Elliott Her death was only a passing from the trials of this life to that beautiful home, free from all pain and suffering, there to await the coming of her loved ones. As the sweet flower that scents the morn, But withers in the rising day, Thus lovely was this infant's dawn, Thus swiftly fled its life away. - Cunningham The parents and grand parents accompanied the body to Nelson from Alliance, Nebr., Saturday, July 11. A short funeral service was conducted at the grave by W.R. Arnold, minister of the Christian church. The casket which could not be opened because of the nature of the disease that claimed her, was covered with beautiful floral offerings, which came from relatives as a last tribute to the one whom they loved.
