Description	:	Bonny G. Novak, 78, of Bennet, died Sept. 30 at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln. Novak was born on March 3, 1934 to Charles and Dora Mae (Matzner) Osterloh in Broken Bow. She grew up on a farm near Ansley and attended a country school nearby. Novak, 78, of Bennet, died Sept. 30 at St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln. Novak was born on March 3, 1934 to Charles and Dora Mae (Matzner) Osterloh in Broken Bow. She grew up on a farm near Ansley and attended a country school nearby. As a young girl, she helped her family working on the farm. In 1954, she was married to Rudy Novak in Wahoo. During their years in Wahoo, she helped her husband at his Mobil service station, and also worked at the Mead Ordinance Plant and at Campbell Soup in Fremont. They moved to Martell in 1965 and then to Bennet in 1969. She worked in the housekeeping department at the University of Nebraska for a few years and then worked at HyGain Communication in Lincoln until her retirement in the early 1990s. She had been a past member of the American Legion Post 82 Auxiliary and VFW Post 4502 Auxiliary in Wahoo. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three infant children; and brother, Donald Osterloh. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Cynthia Novak of Ashland, Jeff and Jody Novak of Dorchester; grandchildren, Branden Brazee Novak, Chris Novak, Lindsey Wasalowski and Jennifer Nielson; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Carol Osterloh of Uehling; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Steve Herman officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. with family greeting friends 6:30 to 8 p.m., all at Svoboda Funeral Home in Wahoo. Interment will be at the Prague National Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brad Osterloh, Richard Osterloh Jr., Brian Osterloh, Brent Meyers, Chris Novak and Dave Helmkamp.
