Read More	Borden Herbert Boutilier 1998 Halifax Chronicle Herald Borden Herbert Boutilier, 89, Marriott's Cove, passed away March 18, 1998, at home. Born at Marriott's Cove, he was the son of the late Goulbourne and Maggie (Rost) Boutilier. He and his brother, Almon, operated their own transport vessel along the South and Eastern Shore. He worked for many years as caretaker to the late Clarissa (Anderson) Gibbs, a well-known summer resident of Chester. He was also a member of the Board of Director of the Anderson wing at Shoreham Village Home for Special Care. He was a well-known, respected member of the marine community. "He sailed the seas for many years, and a captain of his own soul." He was a lifelong member of St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Chester, and a member of the church vestry committee. He was a member of the Annapolis Valley Antique Engine Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Ena Armstrong; one son, Blaine and his wife Brenda, Dartmouth; two grandsons, Danny and his wife Jane, Marriott's Cove; Chris, Dartmouth; one granddaughter, Jill, Dartmouth; one great-grandson, Jonathan, Marriott's Cove. He was predeceased by one brother, Almon; one son, Burnell. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Davis Funeral Home, Chester. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. today, March 21, 1998, in St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Chester, Rev. Sean Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stephen's Anglican Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
