Description	:	- from Rush Funeral Home Borghild D. Dale was born on the family homestead, four miles west of Nowlin, South Dakota, on March 9, 1912, the daughter of Hans and Marie (Hesjedal) Dale. Anna Peterson was the midwife that delivered her. Borghild went to school in Nowlin riding horseback five miles. Borghild married Merle Jarman on December 3, 1930 in her parents' home. They lived and ranched on the Bad River all their married life. She always showed a love of all animals especially horses. Borghild was a great cook and a very helpful neighbor. Borghild went to school in Nowlin riding horseback five miles. Borghild married Merle Jarman on December 3, 1930 in her parents' home. They lived and ranched on the Bad River all their married life. She always showed a love of all animals especially horses. Borghild was a great cook and a very helpful neighbor. Borghild was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Midland. Prior to that she was a member of the Nowlin Lutheran Church where she played the piano for many years. Grateful for having shared her life are her son Dale Jarman and his wife Joyce of Midland; two daughters Darlene Hagen and her husband Dick of Piedmont, and Jeannene Bach and her husband Frank of Riverton, Wyoming; four grandchildren, Barb Swane of Black Hawk, Susan Martin and June Huston of Midland, and Jason Lurz of Mitchell; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; one sister Melinda Schwalm of Rapid City; Victor Lurz of Salinas, California who made his home with the Jarmans all during his high school days; and a host of other relatives and friends. Borghild was preceded in death by her husband Merle Jarman on June 9, 1997; her parents; two brothers Severt and Henry Dale; and a granddaughter Janet Hagen. Borghild D. Jarman, age 91, of Midland, died Thursday morning, August 14, 2003, at the Philip Nursing Home. Visitation was held 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15 at the Rush Funeral Home in Philip, and one hour preceding the services at the church on Saturday. Funeral services was held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2003, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Midland, with Pastor Paul Bly officiating. Interment was in the Nowlin Cemetery. A memorial is established.
