Description	:	Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 3, from the Slininger Chapel in Jefferson for Boyd M. Condit, 73, longtime Greene County resident. The Rev. Peter J. Westrak, minister of First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson, and the Rev. W. F. Schneck of Jefferson, officiated. Mrs. David Carstrom was organist. Casket bearers were Gordon Anderson, Merrill Johnson, Maynard Wolf, Robert Teeters, James Fields, Leo Rohda, and Don Fields. Interment was in Paton Township Cemetery. Boyd, son of Frank and Dollie Winters Condit, was born July 12, 1902, at Paton, where he attended school and grew to manhood. On Jan. 12, 1928, he was married to Hazel Hansen in Fort Dodge. They were the parents of two children: Duane and Beverly. The family farmed near Paton for 25 years. In 1967, upon their retirement from farming, the couple moved to Jefferson where Mr. Condit was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. On Saturday, Nov. 1, Boyd died at the Greene County Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Vera Easley; and a brother in infancy. His survivors include his wife; his son Duane of Storm Lake; his daughter, Mrs. Dwight (Beverly) Lehman of Jefferson; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his brother: Lloyd of Longmont, CO; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Emma Hansen of Paton; several nieces and nephews.
