He was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol (Sanders) Nace; two sons, Barry Sanders; and an infant son Marvin Lynn Sanders (Eleven weeks). He was the Oldest of three sons of the late Boyd Reed and Edna Winifred (Grimes) Sanders Sr. He and his wife, Bernice Maxine owned and operated Sanders Excavating Business for twenty years, and later he worked for McNally Corporation in the Western States. He was the Oldest of three sons of the late Boyd Reed and Edna Winifred (Grimes) Sanders Sr. He and his wife, Bernice Maxine owned and operated Sanders Excavating Business for twenty years, and later he worked for McNally Corporation in the Western States. He served in the U.S. Army's 175th Engineers Battalion in Italy during World War II, and was a member of Proctor Kildow Post #71, American Legion, Oakland, Maryland. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Oakland. At the time of his death he was survived by his wife, Bernice Maxine (Severe) Sanders; one daughter Regina Sanders, Charlottesville, Virginia; two brother, Dale Clarence Sanders, Hampstead, Maryland; and Jack Grimes Sanders, Waynesville, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services were held at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland on Saturday at 11:00AM, with Rev. T. Patrick Kerr officiating. Military honors were accorded at the funeral home by members of the various veterans organizations in Southern Garrett County. The family requested that memorials take the form of contributions to; Oakland Volunteer Fire Department; Southern Rescue Squad; and the Garrett County Memorial Hospital Building Fund.
