Read More	Resident Dies Brace Henry Prouty, 78, longtime Hamlin County resident, passed away at his home in OpdahI township, Hamlin County, Monday, April 19, 1971 following a long Illness. Prouty, a farmer, spent the greater part of his life in Hamlin County. He was a member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church in Watertown and has held office of Chairman of his church. He was born July 16, 1892 In Jefferson County, New York. On April 8, 1931, he married Elsie E. Yonker at DeSmet, South Dakota. Survivors include his wife Elsie of Bryant; three daughters, Arvilla Prouty, Bryant, Mrs. Elmer (Dorothy) Kincaid, of San Francisco, CalIf., and Mrs. Edwln (Janet) Tapio of Watertown, three sons; Galen and Elton both of Sioux Falls and Glenn or Ortonville, Minn. Eight grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. John (Lillian Yonker, Bryant, SD. Prouty was preceded by his parents, one sister, Bessie, and four brothers, Ole, Fred, Glenn, and Forde. Services will be held Thursday, April 22 at 2:30 In the Apostolic Lutheran Church in Watertown. Burial will be at the Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery in Lake Norden.
