Read More	Bradley Anthony Waltman passed away on January 31, 2018 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born November 19, 1961 to Alfred and Sally (VonEschen) Waltman, Aberdeen, SD. Brad graduated from Roncalli Catholic High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Northern State College. After college he worked in Aberdeen for the Comet. He then moved to Pierre where he worked with the South Dakota Department of Tourism and State Publishing. In 2001, Brad moved to Sioux Falls where he spent many years as a graphic designer at Lodgenet. Later, he used his artistic talents at Sanford Health where he worked until his passing. Brad had a passion for the theater and all the arts. Where ever he lived, he found a home with the local community playhouse. Whether it was the Aberdeen Community Theater, Pierre Players or the Sioux Falls Community Theater he gave tirelessly of his time and talents designing and building theater sets, directing plays, or doing whatever needed to be done. From the “Boys Next Door” to “Jesus Christ, Super Star”, Brad knew how to make a stage come alive. His theater friends became an extension of his family. He was very active in the recovery community through his mentoring, attending meetings, providing leadership for state conference, and being there for anyone in need, regardless of time or day. The word “no” was not in Brad’s vocabulary. Brad loved spending time with his family and friends. Despite his busy schedule, he always found time to go back to the farm. He loved spending time with his many nieces and nephews and visiting with his aunts and uncles. Brad’s family went well beyond his parents and nine siblings. His numerous friends from across the state became a part of his extended family. Whether it was going to a play or spending a weekend camping, he cherished having adventures with those he loved. Blessed for having shared his life are his parents, Al and Sally of Aberdeen; siblings Allen, Julie and her special friend Jim all of Aberdeen, SD, Roger (Paula) of Parkston, SD, Lisa (Jeff) of Richmond, Fargo, ND, Ron (Pat) of Sioux Falls, SD, Greg (Linda) of Aberdeen, SD, Sandra of Pierre, SD, Brian (Erika) and Chris (Katie) both of Aberdeen, SD; nieces and nephews Alex (Alyssa), Tanna Waltman, Andrea, Kelcie, Kayla Richmond, Zachary, Madisyn, Jordan Waltman, Eric, Lindsey (Jake), Faith, Jacob, Grayson Waltman, Paul, Kiersten, Kaylie Grotjohn, Kaden Larsen, Ella, William, Abigail, Samuel, Nicholas Waltman, Chase and Brodie Waltman; also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and special friends Tony, Brian, Mike, Joe, Estelle, and Faye; and his cat, Izzie. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Jacob and Martha Waltman and Clarence and Annabelle VonEschen; sister-in-law and special friend, Karen Waltman; and many beloved other family members. Special thanks to his coworkers at Sanford (Team Brad) who gave of their hearts and gifts. For everyone he met in recovery, his theater family who were his life and joy, his personal friends who were always there to help him through his life including his most recent challenge, cancer. Brad helped us all by giving effortlessly from his heart. He was blessed by his many friends as they were blessed by him.
