Bradley is well documented in the records. He served in the American Revolution, was in every census in his lifetime, and lived to the ripe old age of 84. He was a pioneer, leading his relatives the Youngs, Williams, and Lunsfords, from Franklin County, NC to Wilson County, TN, and then on to Madison County, TN. His birth and death dates were taken from his Revolutionary War pension records. Bradley was drafted into the North Carolina Militia two times, for about three months each, in 1780 and 1781. He was living in Franklin County. He moved to Wilson County, TN in 1814, and then to Madison County, TN in 1838. Bradley lived near his daughter Rebecah and son-in-law Eaton Lunsford all the way back through Wilson County and Franklin County, and may be buried along with them in Young Cemetery in Crockett County (Madison County until 1871). Since there is no marriage record for Bradley in Franklin County, the mother of his children cannot be identified. Mrs. Medlin lived almost as long as Bradley. According to census enumerations she was born in 1758 and died about 1835 in Wilson County. In the 1840 census in Madison County, TN, Bradley was living in the household of his daughter Rebecca and her husband Eaton Lunsford. (The record is not indexed, but is available as an image on microfilm frame 104.) In the 1841 list of Revolutionary War pensioners, he was still in the household of Eaton Lunsford. Meanwhile, on adjoining property, his granddaughter Martha Lunsford and her husband William Young set aside an acre of land to be used as a cemetery. Bradley may have been one of the first to be buried in Young Cemetery near Gadsden in present day Crockett County. Rev. 4/8/17
