He was born January 24, 1961 in Holdrege, Nebraska, the only child born to Alice Marie Clausen. On November 14, 1963, Alice was united in marriage to Roger Sloan, who lovingly accepted Brian as his own. Brian received his education from Wilcox Public Schools and graduated from Wilcox High School with the class of 1979. On September 20, 1980, Brian was united in marriage to Tami Everett of Holdrege and to this union, two children were born: Dave and Lisa. The family made their home in Ragan, where Brian drove truck for Mike Johnson, north of Holdrege, until his retirement due to back problems. Brian was baptized in May of 1968 at the United Methodist Church in Ragan, where he later became a member in April of 1974. He enjoyed cars, electronics and music, but especially enjoyed time spent with his children and grandchildren. Brian was preceded in death by his parents, and numerous aunts and uncles. He leaves to mourn his passing; children: Dave Sloan of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Lisa Nendza and her husband, Josh of Holdrege; six grandchildren: David Justin Beebe, Mia Anne Marie Sloan, Matthew Brian Sloan, Mable Blnita Garcia, Brynn Alexus DeBaun, Beau Benjamin Scott Nendza; along with many other relatives and friends. The family has chosen cremation. The Bauer-Torrey & Mach Funeral Home in Alma is in charge of the arrangements.
