(Junie) Norman, 69, of Lancaster, Mo., passed away uexpectedly Thursday evening, November 10, 1988 at his home. Born September 18, 1919, in Downing, Mo., he was the son of Brice V. and Violet (Pickens) Norman. On May 19, 1946 at Green City, Mo., he was married to Frances M. Tate who survives. Also surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Douglas Brice and Donna Lue Norman of Downing; three daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Rudy Snedigar of Lancaster, Dr. Donna Norman and her husband Dr. Greg Garvin of Bettendorf, Ia., and Denise and Dick Comstock of Kirksville; thirteen grandchildren, Wesley, Jesse, Elizabeth, Ethan, Seth and Lucas Snedigar, Gregory Loyd Garvin, Gretchen Francees and Andrew Lenley Garvin, Sarah and Adam Comstock and Joel Douglas and Jonathan Norman; his mother, Mrs. Violet White of Lancster; one uncle, Gilbert A. Norman of Lancaster and his father-in-law, Rev. H. R. Tate of Kirksville. He waas preceded in death by his father, his step-father, F. E. White and one half-sister Betty White. A lifetime resident of Schuyler County, Mr. Norman graduated from the Lancaster High School with the class of 1938. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served with the United States Army in the Suoth Pacific for thirty-six months. He was a member of the Christian Church of Lancaster and the Lodge of Love No. 259 A.F.& A.M., the V.F.W. Schuyler Co. Post No. 5898 and the American Legion. Mr. Norman opened the Norman Funeral Home in 1952 and continued to operate it until his death. He ws county Coroner for twenty-five years, and operated the ambulance service from 1952 until 1970.
