Read More	-MISS JETTE NOLAN ANSWERS SUMMONS Miss Jette Nolan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Nolan, passed away at her home north of Masonville, Saturday evening, death being caused from heart trouble. Miss Nolan had been suffering more of less for many years with heart trouble, yet was able to do the work in the home and care for her aged parents. On Saturday evening, after she had completed the work after evening meal she went to her room and when she did not return after a few moments, members of that family went to her room to find that she had passed away. Funeral services were held in the Immaculate Conception church at Masonville Tuesday forenoon. Rev. Father M. E. Nolan, of Harpers Ferry, Iowa, a brother of the deceased, read High Mass, and Rev. Father Conry, vice president of Dubuque College, preached the sermon. Other priests from nearly parishes were present and took part in the services. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery near Masonville. Miss Nolan was born at Masonville, Iowa, April 22nd 1861, and was educated in the parochial and public schools, and for some time she was a successful teacher in the schools of the county. Failing health forced her to give up her work as a school teacher and she then remained at her home to give her aged parents the care they needed in their declining years. She is survived by her aged parents, seven brother, Jas., Michael, William and Perry, of near Masonville, Thomas Nolan of Hazleton; and Rev. Father M. E. Nolan, of Harpers Ferry, Iowa; M. J. Nolan of Mason City, Iowa, and two sisters, Mrs. John Burke, of Bridgwater, South Dakota; and Mrs. Peter Thines, of Iowa Falls, Iowa. One brother, Rev. Father J. J. Nolan for many years associated with Dubuque college, in the capacity of an instructor, passed away about a year ago, his death taking place in Philadelphia, after a lingering illness. Miss Nolan's sudden passing comes with crushing force to the aged parents, who looked to her for care in their declining years. She cared for them with singular devotion and gladly made sacrifices for those near and dear to her. She was a devout member of the Roman Catholic church and in her life exemplified the teaching of her church. Her gentle manner and kindly nature endeared her to a large circle of friends. The aged parents and the brothers and sisters who mourn because of the death of this beloved daughter and sister, have the sympathy of many friends in their hour of sorrow.
