He will always be loved by his four children: Miriam Jensen (Harvy Johnson), Rod (Trish) Jensen, Mark (Geniveve) Jensen and Becky (Garth) Toone and his eight grandchildren: Chelsea, Carter, Shandelle, Brie, Tanner, Gillian, Drew, and Fielding. He was predeceased by his father A. Glen Jensen and survived by his mother Fern Jensen and siblings: Glenda Nixon, Jeannine (Sam) McCollum, Sheila (Ron) Wright and Tom (Sharon) Jensen. Brie was born December 31, 1938 in the Galt Hospital (Lethbridge). He grew up on farms east of Lethbridge. He taught in Taber, then worked for Ford Canada in Edmonton. In 1973, he moved to Picture Butte, built a home for his family and taught school for 24 years. After retirement, he taught part time in Pincher Creek and Coaldale. Brie and Ladene were married September 17, 1959 in the Cardston Temple. Although they were two months shy of their 50th wedding anniversary, they were able to celebrate this early with their children and grandchildren. Glen and Fern taught him the importance of work, which was proven by his dedication to teaching and the operation of a construction company. We have no doubt, he is building a new Pearly Gate. Brie believed in family, service and our Saviorâ€™s Atonement. He Enjoyed golf, curling, coaching, fishing, painting, hunting, travelling, church service and spending time with his family. He constantly read books and scriptures. He took no down time. Brie emulated the Savior with his love and charity for others. His communication skills put everyone at ease. He was extremely generous with his time and knowledge and loved helping everyone. His memory for people, places, dates and events was phenomenal. Brieâ€™s humor was recognized by all, understood by some and impossible to describe (ie. the bus driver and the dog.) Friends can send thoughts/memories to [email protected] Friends may meet the family on Thursday, August 6 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge, or prior to the funeral service on Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, Lethbridge West Stake Centre, 560 Highland Blvd. W, Lethbridge, with Bishop Daryl Steed officiating. The Graveside Service will be held at the Cardston Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.
