Bridgetta, the wife of Mr. Michael Fanslow of this city, died at the family home on Broadway at ten minutes after nine last evening. Bridgetta, the wife of Mr. Michael Fanslow of this city, died at the family home on Broadway at ten minutes after nine last evening. Mrs. Fanslow has been ailing for five years, from complications due to old age, her last spell of illness dating, in its acute stage, from last Saturday. Mrs. Fanslow was born at Skitza, Marean Warda, Germany, where she was married Oct 14, 1855, and came with her family to Dakota Territory in 1877, settling at Milltown at first, and later moving in 1889 to Yankton, where they have resided ever since. A gentle, kindly temperment that would say nothing harsh of anyone, and a strong motherly nature which found its fondest exercise in the care of thirteen children, many of whom she was destined to outlive, characterized the departed. She was all in all to her numerous family, and as a good mother and wife, will be greatly missed. Michael Fanslow survives his wife, as do six children,four boys and two girls. Of these children John, Frank and August live in Yankton and are prominently identified with the business interstes of the city while one of them Frank is at present serving another term as Yankton's chief executive. Another son, Adam,lives at Des Moines, while the two daughters, Mrs. Maud Fisher, and Mrs. Annie Gottschalk, live in Yankton and Chicago respectively. The relatives will receive the deep sympathy of Yankton people in their bereavement. The funeral has been arranged for 11:15 Sunday morning from Sacred Heart church, Rev. Lawrence Link officiating.
