Description	:	Bruce Froning, 40, of Mingo, formerly of Sheffield, died Tuesday (Oct. 3, 1989) of injuries received in a car accident south of Ira. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, Sheffield, with the Rev. Donald Bardole officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Sheffield. Visitation is after 2 p.m. Friday at Grarup Funeral Home, Sheffield, and until service time at the church on Saturday. He was born Dec. 16, 1948, in Mason City, a son of Warren and Laura (Markwardt) Froning. He attended Sheffield-Chapin' High School. After graduation he attended North Iowa Area Community College and Mankato (Minn.) State University. He married Diane Keough on May 29, 1971, in Chapin at Salem United Methodist Church. He farmed in the Sheffield area for 12 yeaars and also was employed by Mason City Datsun as a mechanic. He later began working as a sound technician for the band Magnum. For the last five years he had been working for Maytag in Newton. Mr. Froning was an avid out-doorsman and hunter. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and the Mason City Rod and Gun Club. Survivors include his wife, Diane of Baxter; one daughter, Amanda, at home; his parents, Warren and Laura Froning of Sheffield; and two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Jane) Killpack, Santa Barbara, Calif., and Mrs. James (Jill) Berg, Albert Lea, Minn. .
