Little, 93, of Vancouver, WA, died April 18, 2011. He was born July 2, 1917, in Proctor, NC (the price of delivery was a slab of bacon) to Roy Oliver and Nancy Bell (Bryant) Little. His stepfather was Warlock Townsend. Bryant's father died in October of 1918, and Bryant, his mother and sister lived with his mother's parents. The family moved to Okanogan, WA in 1921, where he lived and went to school. In 1959, he moved to Oregon; he married Mildred Tilse in 1960, at Tigard, OR. He worked as an Auto Mechanic until 1977, when he retired and moved to Omak, WA to raise apples. Bryant moved to Vancouver, WA in 1990, and was there until he died. Bryant and his stepfather built a hunting cabin, which was a landmark, on Wilder Creek in Okanogan National Forest. For many years, he enjoyed hunting elk and deer, along with fishing and gardening all his life. Bryant accepted Jesus at the age of 16. He was baptized in a river and was a member of the Okanogan First Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Baptist Church in Oregon. Later in Omak, he was a member of the Omak Free Methodist Church. Finally, he was a member of the Brush Prairie Baptist Church in Vancouver, WA. He was very industrious and was always working on his homes and yards. He could do anything with his hands. Bryant was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mildred; sister, Roy; his children, Robert, Kenneth, Carolyn and Jeff; his stepchildren, Sharon, Shirley, Terry and Michael; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside Services were held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the Okanogan City Cemetery, with Rev. Mick Green officiating. Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements.
