Clapsaddle, well known In this village, died last Thursday at his home to Vancouver, Washington. The following account of the death appeared In a Vancouver paper: "Following about a year and a half of falling health. Budd L. Clapsaddle. died at his home on Route 5, Thursday night. Mr. Clapsaddle had been undergoing treatment at the Veterans hospital at Portland for a short time, and but a few days ago had returned to his home. "Born In Porter Center, New York. Mr. Clapsaddle lived there most'of his early life, enlisting for the Spanish- American war on Nov. 3, 1896. as a private... Read More	"B. L. Mr. Clapsaddle had been undergoing treatment at the Veterans hospital at Portland for a short time, and but a few days ago had returned to his home. "Born In Porter Center, New York. Mr. Clapsaddle lived there most'of his early life, enlisting for the Spanish- American war on Nov. 3, 1896. as a private in Company E. Thirteenth regiment. During that enlistment, he took part In the expedition In Santiago, Cuba. June 8 to 20. 1898, In the battle of San Juan, Cuba, on July 1. and in the siege and surrender of Santiago July 2 to 14. "In 1899 he was with the expedition to the Philippine Islands. "December 20. 1899. Mr. Clapsaddle reenlisted for service, entering as corporal of the Seventieth company of coast artillery. During that enlistment he was with the expedition to Mavitac. P. I., on September 18. 1900, and todk part in the engagement near San Antonio, Laguna, P. I., February 8, 1901. For the past six years, Mr. Clapsaddle had been' superintendent of the county farm, and he was a member of the Elks lodge of Vancouver, of the Spanish-American War Veterans here, of the Fort Vancouver chapter, and Veterans of Foreign Wars, and of the Barberton grange. "Besides the widow, Mrs. Emma Clapsaddle, survivors include three sisters, Mrs, Ruth Adell Tates, Mrs. David Canfleld. of Youngstown. N. Y., Mrs. Robert Molyneaux, of Ransomvllle, N.
