Read More	Marker Transcription:Double stone with Alene Jones Willett Married May 24, 1942 Obituary: Thanks to Iris Meshell: Buford Pierce Willett, 94, of El Dorado passed away Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, at Courtyard Health and Rehab. Born March 2, 1922, he was the son of Frank Pierce and Annie Yocum Willett. During his employment years, Mr. Willett worked as a pumper in the oilfield, a farmer and was a pipefitter through Local 706 of El Dorado. He served his country during World War II in the Pacific, Pearl Harbor and the Philippines as a member of the U. S. Navy. Mr. Willett was a 50 year Mason and a member of the Mount Mariah Lodge. He was a life-long member of Lisbon United Methodist Church. He was also a faithful part of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Preceding him in death, along with his parents, were his wife, Alene Jones Willett; a granddaughter, Lynne Willett Kranich; great-grandson, Reid Owen Willett; and a sister, Gene Huenefeld. Survivors include his sons, Jimmy Willett (Dianna) and Frank Willett (Beverly) all of El Dorado. Also surviving are his loving grandchildren, Jim Willett (Alison) of Pleasant Hills, Calif., Melissa Willett Green (Chris) of Clinton, Adam Willett (Katy) of Louisville, Ky., and Nathan Willett (Hannah) of Greenbrier; along with 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Young’s Chapel with the Rev. Steve Pelz officiating. Interment followed in Salem Cemetery near Lisbon under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. The family received friends at Young’s from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to Lisbon United Methodist Church, 5870 Lisbon Road, El Dorado, AR; or to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 700 W. Eighth St., El Dorado, AR.
