Description	:	Burdette's Obit: Burdette Leon Lovitt, a resident of Brown Co., was found dead May 12 in a small fuel shed at his home in West Ainsworth. Read More	Burdette's Obit: Burdette Leon Lovitt, a resident of Brown Co., was found dead May 12 in a small fuel shed at his home in West Ainsworth. He had passed away approximately two weeks previously of natural causes. His parents were John W. and Sarah (Hunter) Lovitt. B.L. was born near Lomax, Ill. on Dec. 21, 1873. He was 78 when he died. He grew to the age of 12 in his native Ill. and in the spring of 1884, came with his parents to Brown Co., Nebr. They settled on a homestead southwest of Ainsworth, which is now a part of the Bert Leach ranch. The family later moved to the Grand Prairie neighborhood and July 22, 1900 he was married to Miss Myrtle V. Townsend. There survives his children, Leon L. of Glen Rock, Wyo.; Edith Thomas of Payette, ID.; Oscar and Wynn of Green Acres, Wash.; Lee of Nyssa, OR.; and Ethel Crummer, of Douglas, Wyo. Two sisters survive Mrs. Madge Townsend of Casper, Wyo. and Mrs. Stella Wynant of Waldon, CO. and two brothers Fenton W. of Olympia, WA.; Arch P. of So. Bend, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Claude, and one sister, Maude Richardson. Burdette was either divorced or separated from his wife at the time of his death. She was living in WYO. at the time of his death and did not pass away until 1960. It said in her obit that she had come to WYO. 50 years ago, but in she appeared in the 1920 census in Neb. The only child not yet found on FAG is Oscar C. Lovitt b. Aug. 7, 1905 and died Sept. 12, 1990. He most likely passed away in WA., but the state of death is not in the SSDI. Lee is FAG #38209000.
