Bro. Martin was born March 27th, 1901, being 26 years, 8 months, and 21 days old: He professed faith in Christ something like 13- or 14-years ago and joined the North Fork Baptist Church on Pine Creek. Bro. Martin moved his membership to this church where he remained a faithful member of this church until his death. He had been a member of Grandview Baptist Church 7 years, 5 months, and 14 days. Bro. Martin has gone to rest, his toil on earth is done, his sufferings are all of the past, his body is of rest forevermore. I certainly believe Bro. Martin was a child of the Heavenly King. I've never heard of him having an enemy anywhere, he has crossed the rolling tide to abide with his Saviour, and all his loved ones going on before. He is singing the praise of Jesus with the Saints of God. It might have been that Jesus took him instead of someone who was unprepared to go, giving them another chance to prepare to meet the final judgment. If we could only push back the veil, I believe he would be bidding his wife and two children and his friends to come on and live with him in heaven where there is no pain to bear, where there will be no sad farewells and we pray that our heavenly Father will in love, keep his protecting arms around the children, bringing them safe to the fold where they will never hunger or thirst or suffer any more. His race is run, his crown is won, and now comes rest. Our loss is heaven's gain therefore be it resolver: 1. That God in His infinite wisdom doeth all things well and we bow in humble submission to His will. 2. That we extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved wife and family, and pray that the Great Comforter may heal their aching hearts and guide them through their hours of sorrow. 3.
