Description	:	Burton Fred Kruger was born on November 7, 1929, the son of Ben and Ruth (Bishop) Kruger at home on the farm in rural Greeley, Burt was raised in the Edgewood area and was a 1947 Edgewood High School graduate. He served honorably in the United States Marines from 1952 to 1954 during the Korean War. On February 13, 1955, Burt was united in marriage to Donna Wessel. Together they farmed near Edgewood until 1966. Burt was then employed by Stone's Hardware from 1966 to 1986 and was a custodian at the Ed-Co School from 1986 to 1994. He worked... Read More	Burton Fred Kruger was born on November 7, 1929, the son of Ben and Ruth (Bishop) Kruger at home on the farm in rural Greeley, Burt was raised in the Edgewood area and was a 1947 Edgewood High School graduate. He served honorably in the United States Marines from 1952 to 1954 during the Korean War. On February 13, 1955, Burt was united in marriage to Donna Wessel. Together they farmed near Edgewood until 1966. Burt was then employed by Stone's Hardware from 1966 to 1986 and was a custodian at the Ed-Co School from 1986 to 1994. He worked at Wood's Edge from 1994 until his retirement. Donna died in 1995 and Burt was married to Lois (Smock) Barnhart on June 1, 1996. Burt was a Dallas Cowboy fan and a 50-year member of the Edgewood American Legion. Burt died on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at his residence in Edgewood. Survivors included his wife, Lois Kruger of Edgewood and two children, Linda (Gary) Lake of Delhi and Lonnie (Karen) Kruger of Manchester.
