Obit - BERTON DARROW DIED Berton Darrow, long time resident of this community died at his home near Glasco, Saturday evening. He has been ill for about a year, but not seriously ill until the last few weeks. The many friends of Mr. Darrow will be sorry to learn of his death. Berton Saymour Drrow, son of Samuel and Eleanor Seymour Darrow, as born at Ashtabula, Ohio, April 1, 1869 and died at his home near Glasco, July 13, 1935, aged 66 years, 3 months and 12 days. He came with his parents when a small boy to Asherville, Ks., and has lived practically his entire life in this community. He was married to Josephine Perry, Nove. 25, 1910. To this union, three children were born. John of the home, Mrs. Minnie Studts, of Glasco, Arthur of the CCC at Melborn, Iowa. He leaves to mourn his death besides his immediate family, two grandchildre, Berton and Dean Studts, his step-son Howard Perry of Beloit, two brother, G. A. Darrow of Topeka, J. F. Darrow and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Kennedy of Simpson, besides a host of other relatives and friends. His health began to fail a year ago, but he was only confined to his bed about two weeks. He was a patient sufferer, loving father, and kind neighbor. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church, July 15,, at 3 p.m., John Perrill conducting the services, Interment was in the Glasco cemetery.
