Description	:	Byrdie M. Boyd, 92, formerly of Sioux Falls, died Thursday, Sept. 2, 1999, at Beverly Health Care Center in Arlington. Byrdie Christensen was born on March 26, 1907, at Viborg. She grew up and attended school in Badger. She married George Boyd on Oct. 8, 1925. The couple farmed in Kingsbury County. She moved to Arlington after her husband died in 1939, where she operated the Arlington Hotel and worked at other jobs. Boyd, 92, formerly of Sioux Falls, died Thursday, Sept. 2, 1999, at Beverly Health Care Center in Arlington. Byrdie Christensen was born on March 26, 1907, at Viborg. She grew up and attended school in Badger. She married George Boyd on Oct. 8, 1925. The couple farmed in Kingsbury County. She moved to Arlington after her husband died in 1939, where she operated the Arlington Hotel and worked at other jobs. In 1957, she moved to Sioux Falls where she managed the TownHouse until her retirement. She was a former member of First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, the South Dakota Business and Professional Women's Association and Senior Citizens Card Club. Survivors include six grandsons; and sister, Frances Albertsen of Badger. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Badger Lutheran Church, Badger, with burial in the Nordland Cemetery in rural Arlington.
