Description	:	Bryon B. Border Services Held Tuesday, Feb. 1 Bryon B. Border, son of William and Priscilla Border, was born on a farm six and a half miles northeast of Victor June 9, 1876, and died at the Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Saturday, Jan. 29, at the age of 89 years, 7 months and 20 days. In January, 1903, he was united in marriage to Ella Mae Rada of Belle Plaine. To this union seven children were born. The Borders farmed the place where he was born. In January, 1903, he was united in marriage to Ella Mae Rada of Belle Plaine. To this union seven children were born. The Borders farmed the place where he was born. His wife passed away Oct. 12, 1914. Mr. Border moved to Victor from the farm several years ago and the past 23 years had made his home in Cedar Rapids. On Nov. 15, 1944, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Kathryn Smith of Cedar Rapids. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn of Cedar Rapids, two daughters, Velma, Mrs. Lawrence Doud of Victor, Ella Mae, Mrs. B Pidima of Cedar Rapids, two sons, Bruce Border of Belle Plaine, Leonard of Phoenix, Az., 12 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, four step-children, besides other relatives and many friends. His parents, wife, Ella Mae, one daughter and two sons preceded him in death. Funeral services were held from the McAninch Chapel in Victor on Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Paul Textor officiating. Two organ solsos, "Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond The Sunset" were played by Mrs. George Keller. Casket bearers were Edward Cahill, Louis DeCoster, C. D. McAninch, John DeSutter, Noel Coats, Del Benton. Burial was in the Odd Fellows cemetery at Victor.
