Larry was born April 1, 1920 in Marysville, Kansas to Byron and Elsa (Tangeman) Clarke. He was a 1938 graduate of North Platte High School in North Platte, NE. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from Oct. 6, 1942 to Feb. 26, 1946. Larry married Phyllis M. Anderson on March 24, 1946 at North Platte, NE. Phyllis died January 18, 2009. He was a member of American Legion Post #20 of Fremont. Larry was a former member of the Masonic Lodge in Fremont and the Omaha Tangier Shrine. He was a past president of the Tangier Oriental Band and the Fremont Shrine Club. He is survived by sons, Larry and wife, Pearl Clarke, Jim Clarke and Ron and wife, Jamie Clarke, all of Fremont; 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Funeral service will be 1 PM, Thursday, at the Presbyterian Church in Fremont. The Rev. Earl Underwood will officiate. Visitation on Wednesday from 5 PM to 8 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Private burial at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Presbyterian Church in Fremont." Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont, Nebraska.
