Description	:	JEFFERSON, S.D. -- Calanthe N. Lambert, 89, of Jefferson died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at Holy Spirit Retirement Home in Sioux City. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Jefferson. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Visitation with viewing will be 1 to 4 p.m. today at Berkemier Chapel of Christy-Smith Funeral Homes in Sioux City. Visitation will resume at 5 p.m. today, with a wake service at 6 p.m., at the church. Mrs. Lambert was born Oct. 28, 1912, in Jefferson, to Alphonse and Rosalie (Loiselle) La Breche. Visitation will resume at 5 p.m. today, with a wake service at 6 p.m., at the church. Mrs. Lambert was born Oct. 28, 1912, in Jefferson, to Alphonse and Rosalie (Loiselle) La Breche. She attended St. Peter's and St. Boniface elementary schools and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1931. She cared for her parents and brother, Mark until their deaths. She was a talented seamstress. She married Andrew Lambert on Dec. 29, 1962, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Jefferson. Following their marriage, they farmed in rural Jefferson. Andrew died March 3, 1977. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, St. Peter's Altar Society, St. Peter's choir and was a former president of Jefferson Senior Citizens. She is survived by a niece and her husband, Bernita and William Hinker of Forestburg, S.D.; a nephew, Donald King of Mitchell, S.D.; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Charles, Mark and Guy La Breche; and three sisters, Czarina Searles, Caroline Chartier and Emily King.
