He married Dorothy Denio, daughter of Aaron Denio and Anna [Coombs] Denio of Deerfield, on 15 October 1772. Dorothy was born on 7 February 1747-8 at Deerfield, the daughter of John Coombs; she died on 12 July 1825 aged 77 years at Waterbury Center. The name Denio is a corruption of the French-Canadian name Denoyons. Caleb and Dorothy had ten sons born from 1773 to 1793, which only nine survived to adulthood. |
