For about one year she was a sufferer but bore all her afflictions with remarkable courage and patience. For about one year she was a sufferer but bore all her afflictions with remarkable courage and patience. Often a severe attack of coughing she would say she thanked God for his goodness to her as her dearest friend. The day before she died she told her husband she would not be here longer than morning. "Lets go and not wait for the wagon". April 3, 1879, she was united in marriage to Charles Hill and to them were born 3 children, two daughters and a sone who still survive her. The husband and children, physician and friends did all in their power to restore her health, but after hovering so long between life and death, she entered the home beyond. She was a kind and faithful wife and mother, a good neighbor and a true friend. Her father and sister still live. About a week before she died she dreamed that she was up very high on a beautiful grassy spot with her early playmates around her. And that she was very happy and singing "Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep from which none ever wakes to weep". Shall we not fondly hone that delightful dream is now more than fully realized and that with the loved of years ago, she is at rest.
