Description	:	MASON CITY - Calvin G. "Cap" Huff, 81, of Mason City died Sunday (Feb. 12, 2006) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Tom Healey, chaplain, Hospice of North Iowa officiating. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Hospice of North Iowa in his memory. "Cap" was born on Sept. 7, 1924, in Dodge, Neb., the third of ten children born to Lee O. and Lillian E. (Stewart) Huff. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1942. He was married to Virginia Hennigar in January of 1944, and they were later divorced. He then married Elizabeth Cook on Aug. 27, 1955, and was widowed in 1983. "Cap" worked for Hiland Potato Chip Co. for 29 years. After retiring from Hiland, he worked for Mid-America Marketing and later was employed as night manager for County Market. "Cap" enjoyed life most when he was outdoors whether it was playing golf, gardening or just appreciating nature. "Cap" is survived by his children: Toni and Gary Hagen, Jill and Michael McLaughlin, Tom and Patty Clevenger and Dan and Linda Eichinger. He shared 20 years with his special companion, Delia Deeny. "Cap" cherished his 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He also leaves three brothers and their wives: John and Judy Huff, David and Cecilia Huff, and Clifford and Jane Huff; one sister, Vivian Groom; and one sister-in-law, Phyllis Huff.
