Description	:	OBITUARY : CALVIN G. PRYOR, JR., 84, of Skunk Hollow Road, Sabillasville, Md., passed away Thursday July 2, 2009, at the Waynesboro Hospital. Born Nov. 17, 1924, near Sabillasville, he was the son of the late Calvin G. Pryor, Sr. and Edith (Moser) Pryor. He was a graduate of Thurmont High School Class of 1941 and was employed by the National Guard, retiring in 1979. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Sabillasville, the Lantern Post 729, 29th Division Association, Chambersburg Beagle Club and the National Rifle Association. Born Nov. 17, 1924, near Sabillasville, he was the son of the late Calvin G. Pryor, Sr. and Edith (Moser) Pryor. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Helen V. (Gladhill) Pryor, who he married Jan 3, 1949; sons Edwin Pryor of Sabillasville and Carl Pryor of Cascade, grandchildren, Shawn Wolfe, Amanda Jewell, Nathan Pryor and Candice Pryor; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by daughters Colleen Pryor and Donna Wolfe, sister Susan Tracey, and brother Richard Pryor. Services will be held Tuesday July 7, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the J.L. Davis Funeral Home in Smithsburg, with Pastor Janet Comings officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service A private burial will be held at the Bethel Cemetery in Cascade, Md., at the convenience of the family.
