He was born Feb. 26, 1912, at Minden to Harvey Alexander and Mary Vesta (Hammond) Boicourt. He grew up at Minden and graduated from Minden High School. He served in the military and was discharged in 1945. He moved to California and worked for Continental Oil in the oil fields as a maintenance technician. He retired in 1976.On June 21, 1958, he was married to Velma Bronson at Sterling, Colo. In June of 1989 they moved back to Minden and in the spring of 1992 they moved to Aurora. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.Survivors include his wife, Velma of Aurora; two sisters, Sally Emmons of El Cerrito, Calif., and Barbara LaRimore of Ventura, Calif.
