(2nd) 1st Lieut./Capt., Company B/G, 16th TN. Inf. Reg't., C.S.A., Civil War(21 MAY 1861 to 19 NOV. 1862). He enlisted as a 1st Lieut. in Co. B on 21 MAY 1861. He was appointed Capt. on 15 MAY 1862 & promoted to Capt. of Co. G on 25 MAY 1862 & he resigned from service on 19 NOV. 1862.	Married December 19, 1851 in DeKalb County, TN.
