He married Candace Hall Blodgett November 20, 1885 and died in 1887. He was a Captain in the 22nd Mass Regiment Company D, which is where his 2nd wife's son Henry enlisted at the age of 16. This writer is unsure if the families knew each other before or after the death of Henry.
