Description	:	C. A. (Al) Peterson, well known orchardist passed away in his Manson home at 12:45 pm on Wednesday after an extended illness of about three months. Mr. Peterson was born in Helena, Montana on October 24, 1890, where he lived for a short time prior to moving to Spokane. He graduated from high school in Spokane. (Al) Peterson, well known orchardist passed away in his Manson home at 12:45 pm on Wednesday after an extended illness of about three months. Mr. Peterson was born in Helena, Montana on October 24, 1890, where he lived for a short time prior to moving to Spokane. He graduated from high school in Spokane. During World War I he served in the United States Navy. In 1920 he came to the Manson area where he has been in the orchard business since that time. In 1926 he was married to Hazel Smith in Spokane. The latter was a teacher in the Manson school at the time of the marriage. Mr. Peterson is widely known as a big game hunter, traveler, and photographer. He was a Past Master of Chelan Valley Lodge No. 118 F & AM; member of the Scottish Rites, and Shriners; past Commander of Wilkinson Beeman Post No. 108 American Legion, member of 40 & 8; member of Chelan Rotary; served many years on the Board of Directors of Lake Chelan Fruit Growers, and the immediate past President of the Wenoka Federation. He is survived by his wife, Hazel, one son Wallace and one brother, Arthur W. of Manson. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and one sister. Services will be held from Manson Community church at 10 am. Saturday morning with the Rev. Sheldon O. Price officiating. Interment will be in Riverview cemetery.
