Description	:	Mr George would come down to the cabin on Friday night, play a round or two of cards before calling it a night. On Saturday morning he'd cook breakfast for the 20 or so hunters that gathered in the Carolina winter cold and off we'd go hunting. The hat would get passed around to reimburse Mr George for his trouble plus a little extra for him and Ms Mildred ;) He always had a story to tell about the river swamp; where the old steam engine laid on its side after getting blown off the tracks during a flood, where the old still was that had been chopped up by revenuers, a ghost story or two, and about growing up in rural SC as a kid. There was always a pot of mystery meat on the stove when we got back from the first deer drive of the day. A small grey pot just for us kids that he'd never tell us the contents until after we tried some usually accompanied by a heaping of rice. Turtle, coon, possum, crawfish, rabbit, eel, snake, or squirrel was it's contents, you just never knew. He was a kind man and Ms Mildred was as sweet as Carolina honeysuckle!
