Mr. Farrington of Anamosa died May 12 at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, following complications due to cancer. Carl Benjamin Farrington was born Nov. 5,1911 at Lebanon, MO, the son of Samuel and Ida Mae Thomas Farrington. He received his education in the Martelle schools and married Engel Scheer Sept. 8,1943. He farmed most of his life except for 20 years that he worked for the city of.Anamosa. He retired in 1976. Mr. Farrington was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He is survived by his wife, a son, Eugene of Anamosa, a daughter, Elaine Siegel of Tega Cay, SC, and four grandchildren. He is also survived by four brothers, Walter of Tucson, AZ, Francis of Las Vegas, NV, Warren of Prairieburg and Howard of Marion and three sisters, Dorothy Wain of Amana, June Mitchell of Hiawatha and Betty Coleman of Marion. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Casketbearers were Larry Farrington, Emil Scheer, Harold Huston, Frank DeSotel, Phil Hardersen and Howard-Walters.
