Read More	The Daily Hawk-Eye Gazette, page 11, November 27, 1933; Burlington, Des Moines County, Iowa: BERT EDGAR ELECTROCUTED Fireman At Iowa Biscuit Company Killed As He Starts to Clean Boiler Bert Edgar, 51, of 1104 South Fifth street, fireman at the Iowa Biscuit company, was electrocuted at the biscuit company plant at 12:45 o'clock this afternoon, as he was preparing to clean the boiler. John Webster, engineer, working in an adjoining room, heard his cries for help, and rushed to his aid. Webster found Edgar leaning against the boiler with a heavy insulated electric light cord in his hand and a broken bulb. Pulling the cord from the socket Webster carried the fireman out of the boiler room, but he was beyond medical aid. May Have Been Heart Attack. There was some contention that Edgar might have died of a heart attack rather than from electrocution as he was reported breathing and his heart still beating when Webster arrived at his side, and no burns could be found on him. The fire department inhalator was called but proved unavailing. An autopsy is being considered to determine definitely the cause of death. Mr. Edgar had been employed at the biscuit company for five years and before that he was employed at the Builder's Woodwork company. He was born in New London, Iowa, August 22, 1882, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Edgar. He was married in Mt. Pleasant in 1925 to Ouina Wiggins, who survives him. He came here from Mt. Pleasant ten years ago. Besides his widow he is survived by one son, Claire, of Burlington, his mother, who lived with him and one brother, Fred, of Model, Colorado. His father died five years ago.
