Read More	The Minden Courier, Minden, NE - Thur, 23 June 1927 Carl Gustaf Bjorklund was born in Sweden, on the 6th day of October, 1842. The first 28 years of his life was lived in his native land. On January 17, 1869, he was united in marriage to Anna Elizabeth Erickson. The couple came to America in the month of June, 1870, and settled at Rutland, Vermont. Eight years later this family moved to Nebraska and settled on their farm near Norman. Mr. Bjorklund has made Kearney county his home for the past 49 years. His home was blessed with seven children, four boys and three girls. Two of them died in infancy, and two others at the age of seven. A daughter, Mrs. Amanda Mooney of Hastings, passed away last May. His good wife preceded him in death 43 years ago last December. Mr. Bjorklund was confirmed in the Swedish Lutheran church in Sweden. He has been living in Norman for a number of years, and has been an invalid for the past three years, and has been tenderly cared for by his daughter Alma. He passed away June 15, 1927, at the advanced age of 84 years, 8 months and 9 days. He was a very patient suffered, and always thankful for every service rendered in his behalf. He leaves to mourn his departure, his two surviving children, Alma and Victor both of Norman, 4 grandchildren and a host of friends. After a prayer at the home, the funeral service was held in the First Methodist church of Norman, last Friday at 2:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. J. R.
