Description	:	BURGET, CARL D. age 90, of McCalla, AL, passed away October 13, 2011. Mr. Burget was a deacon at Crossway Baptist Church. He retired from the U.S. Navy with 23 years of service. He also retired from the U.S. Postal service as a letter carrier after 19 years of service. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Bonita Burget and Edna Brasfield. He is survived by his wife, Faye Ford Burget of McCalla; his sons, Larry (Susan) Burget of Bessemer, and Mike (Sue) Burget of Bessemer; his step son, Paul (Mary Lou) Brasfield of Birmingham; his daughter, Myra (Larry) Adler of Gulf Breeze, FL; his step daughters, Robin (Steve) Kines of Anniston, Roxann (Phillip) Cheek of McCalla and Bonnie (Jay) Phelan of Birmingham; seventeen grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren; his brother, Wayne (Barbara) Burget and his sisters, Ruth Lowe and Louise Dimmitt. Bessemer area funeral services will begin with visitation at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home Monday, October 17, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow immediately facilitated by Bro. Frank Sims of Crossway Baptist Church. All are welcome to attend. Mr. Burget will later be laid to rest next to his first love Bonita, in River View Cemetery in Monticello, Indiana. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to Crossway Baptist Church, 1080 9th Avenue S.W., Bessemer, AL 35022.
