Description	:	Carl D. Summerfield, 65, of Corsicana, Texas, passed away Sept. 19 after a brief illness. He was born on Aug. 13, 1946 to parents Orville and Doyne Summerfield. He graduated from Dunlap High School in 1964 and went on to have a career of 40 years with Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha, Neb., Los Angeles, Calif. and Palestine, Texas; retiring as Director of Damage Prevention Claims Service in 2005. Alamo St., San Antonio, TX 78205 or to a favorite charity of choice. He married Diane Koster in 1967 and they had one daughter, Kerrie. He was a beloved husband and father, and was known for his sense of humor. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. Services were held in Corsicana on Sept. 25. Graveside service will be held on Sat., Oct. 22, at 4 p.m. at the Woodbine Cemetery followed by a lunch at the Shadow Valley Golf Club. Obituary is from the Corley Funeral Home
