Description	:	WATERVILLE - Carl Ernest Bolduc, 83, died peacefully at Inland Hospital, Friday, June 1, 2007, with his family at his side after a long struggle with Oculopharyngeal Muscular Dystrophy (OPMD). Carl was born in Waterville on June 18, 1923, the first child of J. Aurele and Georgianna (Gouin) Bolduc. He graduated from Waterville High School in 1943. Read More	WATERVILLE - Carl Ernest Bolduc, 83, died peacefully at Inland Hospital, Friday, June 1, 2007, with his family at his side after a long struggle with Oculopharyngeal Muscular Dystrophy (OPMD). Carl was born in Waterville on June 18, 1923, the first child of J. Aurele and Georgianna (Gouin) Bolduc. He graduated from Waterville High School in 1943. Upon graduation he served two years in the Army in Central Europe, Northern France and Normandy. After his discharge, Carl moved and worked in North Tonawanda, N.Y. In February 1949, Carl enlisted in the Navy active Reserve Program and served until his retirement in October 1965 at the Naval Air Station, Brooklyn, N.Y. Carl met Charlotte C. Corcoran at the Naval Air Station in 1962 and they were married in the Chapel on Base July 11, 1964. Upon Carl's retirement, they moved to North Vassalboro. Carl was employed by the Oak Grove School for Girls and later at the Motor Vehicle Department in Augusta. Carl always wanted to live in a warmer climate, so in 1973, he and Charlotte moved to Orlando, Fla., where they lived for 16 years. Carl worked for a private company, Hi-Acres, as a purchasing agent and retired in 1998. After Charlotte retired in 1990, they moved back to Waterville, Maine to be closer to family. After moving to Florida he became a boat inspector with United States Coast Guard Auxiliary at the sportsman club for 10 years. After returning to Maine, Carl and Charlotte became RV campers. Carl was a life member of the American Legion Post No. 5; AARP and Good Sam Club. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Charlotte of Waterville; his sons, Alan L. of Cape Coral, Fla., Carl E. Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; and four grandchildren, Nicholas, Timothy, Melissa of North Tonawanda and Lisa of Denver. Also surviving are two sisters, Irene M. Bourque of Waterville and Pauline Safarik and her husband, Robert, of Port Richey, Fla.; and his brother, Eugene "Buck" Bolduc of Waterville. Carl is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and Charlotte's family and many good friends. Carl was predeceased by his parents; his baby brother, Bernard; his son, Mark Phillip Bolduc; and his sister-in-law, Eleanor Bolduc. (Morning Sentinel 6/5/2007)
