Description	:	Carl F. Bockelman, 92, of Napoleon, Ohio, died Friday, July 3, 2009, at the Lutheran Home of Napoleon. He was born December 1, 1916, in Freedom Township, Ohio, to the late Henry and Sophia (Helberg) Bockelman. On April 11, 1947, he married E. Maxine Miller, who preceded him in death on July 21, 1998. Carl was an insurance agent for Lutheran Mutual Insurance for 43 years. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Napoleon. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is survived by sons, Ronald (Sue) Bockelman of Redmond, Wash., Frederick (Tootie) Bockelman of Napoleon, Ohio, David Bockelman of Gibsonville, N.C., and John (Solange) Bockelman of Silver Springs, Md.; daughter, Mary Beth (Kevin) Rinehart of Canton, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Wilfred (Caroline) Bockelman of Minneapolis, Minn. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine; and brothers, Louis, Herman and William Bockelman. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Napoleon, with Pastor James Castello officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by the Napoleon Joint Veteran Posts. Friends may call on Saturday from 9-11 a.m. at the church. The family suggest memorial contributions to the Emanuel Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Home, Alpine Village or Hospice of Henry County, all of Napoleon
