Born April 7,1914, in Kokomo, he was the son of Ottice and Mellie Hurley Mendenhall, On May 4, 1940, in Winamac, he was married to Olive G. Fisher, who died Oct 12, 1985. On Nov. 15, 1986, in Pulaski, he was married to June Paxton, who survives. Mr. Mendenhall was a farmer. He lived in Pulaski County for 60 years, coming from the Kokomo area. He was a member, elder and trustee of the Pulaski Presbyterian Church, PulaskL Past worthy patron of the Order of Eastern Star No. 96, he was also a past master and 50-year member of Masonic Lodge F&AM No. 262, both in Winamac, and the South Bend Scottish Rite. He was formerly employed by the Pulaski-White Rural Telephone Cooperative in Star City. Surviving are one daughter and son-inlaw, Judy and Norman Bathke, Medaryville; one son and daughter-inlaw, Ron and Karen Mendenhall, Star City; a sister, Glenna Chase, Indianapolis; four grandchildren and their spouses, Doug and Sandy Bathke, and Chuck and Sally Bathke, all of Medaryville, Diana and David Ricks, Greenfield, and Melissa and Scott Alexander, Winamac; and six great-grandchildren, Trevor Bathke, Trent Bathke, Brian Bathke, Spencer Ricks, Gil Alexander and Thad Alexander. One sister, Beulah Bougher, one brother, Earl Mendenhall, one grandson and one great-grandson preceded in death. The Rev. Jessica S. Young-Brust will officiate the services. Burial will be in Pulaski Presbyterian Cemetery, Pulaski. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday in the mortuary. Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday in the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pulaski Presbyterian Church.
