Description	:	When sickness entered the little home of Carl Nesheim it found him alone and before he realized the seriousness of his state of health it was too late. When a neighbor passed that way he found his very ill with pneumonia and although taken to the Pierre hospital, he passed away there December 5th at the age of 28 years 11 months and 6 days. Carl was not married but leaves many relatives and a host of friends to mourn his early death. Services were held at the Deep Creek Church at Moenville Wednesday, Dec 8, conducted by Rev. O.H. Olson. The sudden death of Carl Nesheim on Dec. 5th from pneumonia came to his relatives and friends very unexpectedly. He had been helping put up wood at the Towne ranch for Roy Norma just previous to his illness, quitting work Saturday night, Nov 27 and Sunday he accompanied his brother Melvin and wife to Dupree. Monday he complained of a severe cold and some chest pains and Tuesday he was taken to the hospital in a serious condition. Carl was one of the young men of this community taking an active interest in its betterement. He made his home with his father, batching since his mother's death some years ago. His father, Albert Nesheim moved to Iowa and since then Carl lived alone. The only immediate relative living in this community are a brother Melvin, and an uncle, Otto Nesheim. Others attending the funeral were his father, twin sisters, Ethel and Eunice, from Decorah, IA, brother Erwin and wife, his aunt, Mrs. Louis Pfautenhauer and two other sisters, Ruby and Selma of Pierre. He was laid to rest besides his mother in the Deep Creek Cemetery, Dec 8.
